About us:

Each item in our store is handmade from salvaged retired climbing rope. When climbing rope reaches the end of its lifecycle, it is unsafe to use and is typically disposed of via incineration. Craggu and other various small businesses take these retired climbing ropes and bring new life into them by making sustainable products.

Where the rope came from:

BIG Blue comes from our neighbor, Nate Johnstone, down south in Oregon! This rope has been through the wringer & traveled through many adventures at Smith Rock and the PNW! Appreciate you, Nate, for your generous rope donation. Fun fact: a majority of this rope was used for a wholesale order to a climbing gym in the US! Luckily, I dug up a few extra bags, so the rest of the inventory is here. Once it’s out, it’s out for good.
