Hi, I'm Brandon
You probably follow a ton of fantastic brands and cool people, so I just wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself & share the story of how Craggu came to be.
How it started
-
During the 2022 holidays,
I made a conscious decision to cut my holiday shopping consumption by crafting gifts for some of my friends using expired climbing rope. So I was able to sang a bundle of expired rope from my neares climbing gtm & repurpose them into things like the ones shown above. The idea was that...
-
Thoughtful handcrafted gifts > store bought gifts
& my friends love them!
& I loved making them.
This was one of the first coozys I made as a gift in 2022. It lived in Florida for a while and made it's way back to Leavenworth, WA in 2024

that's when the idea for craggu was born
& I asked my partner, Vicky, for help creating a logo.
Life things happened and Craggu was put on the side burner for most of 2023.
Above were some of the concept logos during the time.
In 2024,
VIcky & I revisited Craggu and dedicated some time to work together to finalize the logo to what it is today.. Craggu probably wouldn't have existed if it wasn't for VIcky.
the first craggu rope tote
I played around with some product concepts throughout 2024 until I landed on the idea of the Craggu Rope Tote.
This was actually the first Craggu Rope Tote ever made!
& I still use it to this day
The idea..
..kinda manifested into what it is today - it was easier to dedicate time because I was tending to my climbing injuries during this period. I opened up my first Etsy Shop in December 2024 & was able to make my first sale (outside my friend group who wanted to support too)!
If you're a small business owner reading this, you, too, probably understand the feeling of that first sale. I didn't think anyone would be interested in what I had to offer at the time!
First Pop-Up Event!
-
By February 2025,
Craggu held it's first every pop-up shop at the Uplift Climbing Lunar New Year Party where we were able to showcase what we do to the Greater Seattle Community.
I just wanted to thank Uplift Climbing again for the opportunity to set up shop during their awesome party & everyone who stopped by our table to see what we do.

Today,
Craggu is still a passion project of mine - I still have my day job & stil spend a lot of time training for climbing.
I'll continue to put the love & care into Craggu as it will probably evolve over time as I experiment with new, sustainable products that push my creative boundaries.

SO if you've made it this far, thank you
Thanks for stopping by & giving me a chance to create sustainable products you probably won't need to help protect the crags we all love. Hope to run into some of y'all sometime so we could climb some rocks together.
